In The Sky Is Falling, at the end of the episode, John and the alien man are at a stand-off. After the alien woman stands up to shoot John, and Dr. Smith shoots at her, John grabs the laser gun out of the alien man's hands and it falls to the sand on the alien's left-hand side.
A few shots later, after the fighting is done and everyone is calmed down, John picks up the alien's laser gun and hands it back to him. However, this time the laser gun is on the sand to the alien's right instead of his left. Somehow it moved about three feet.
